We have various options to assist with managing email templates in the Phriendly Phishing dashboard.
All of these options can be found in the overflow menu (three dots) located in the bottom right corner of the email template preview.
Important
- Emails templates added after the schedule is set, which happens 7 days before the start of the training block or course, will not be added to the schedule.
- Emails templates removed after the schedule is set, are removed and a new email is added in its place.
How to View template
- You can view the template and its contents.
- In the view menu, the template cannot be modified nor customised.
How to Disable template
- Disabling the template to prevent usage for any future Campaigns or Spear Phishing simulations.
- After clicking, below pop-up notification appears, click Ok.
How to Disable Templates by Bulk
- This can be done by using the filters available, tick the main Disable box in Actions menu.
How to Clone Template
- Cloning the template to edit and customise per your preference or requirements.
How to Navigate to the overflow menu
- Go to the Email Templates tab and select Templates. Select the template you'd like to modify and click on the three dots to see the options to Edit, Publish, Clone or Delete.
Note: There are different options in the overflow menu depending on the status of the template
How to Modify an Email Template

Go to the Email Templates tab, select Templates > Three dots on the template of choice > Clone.
Note: In order to edit an email template created by Phriendly Phishing, you must first clone the email template. Once cloned you can then make edits to the clone and optionally disable the original.

Customize the email template as you would like.
The fields you can make edits to are: Title, From, Subject, Attachments, Description, Body, Links, Type, Microlessons, Credential Capture, QR Code, Personalize, Schedule
Important
Remember to share the template with your zone by selecting Share Template in the menu on the right and tick your zone name. You will see a green tick once done.
- Once done, select from the following on the menu on the right:
- Publish: to immediately publish the changes you’ve made to the template
- Preview and test: to preview the changes and simulate a learner’s experience with the new template.
- Update: to save the changes
- Remember to select Save/Update to keep your changes.
