Set-up User Synchronisation

User Synchronisation enables you to connect your Active Directory to your Phriendly Phishing account. When an individual is configured in your AD then they will automatically synchronise as a new staff member in your Phriendly Phishing account.

Benefits of Configuring User Sync

  1. Save Platform Admins time from manually uploading user lists.
  2. Automatically syncs new staff when they are added to your Organisation's Active Directory.  
  3. Automatically removes staff when they leave the Organisation.
  4. Automatically enrolls users or learners when Training and Phishing Simulation blocks are scheduled. 

Enable User Synchronisation

Log into your Phriendly Phishing admin account. Go to the Settings, follow through per below screenshot.

Things to Note

Active Directory (AD)
  • For a successful AD sync, the latest version of Remote Server Administation Tools should be installed. 

Microsoft Entra ID - API
  • Applicable for O365 environment.
  • For a successful synchronisation via API, contact Phriendly Phishing Support to do the required change.
  • Phriendly Phishing platform decides what data is pulled from your Active Directory 

Microsoft Entra ID - SCIM
  • Applicable for O365 environment.
  • Azure Portal decides what data is pushed to Phriendly Phishing
  • For a successful synchronisation via SCIM, copy exactly the mappings as noted in the help article. 

Okta AD
  • Super Admin access in your Okta instance is required.
