This guide takes you through the user experience so you will know what to expect when using the O365 Phish Reporter (Ribbon Manifest File) and how to report a suspicious email. This version of Phish Reporter add-in replaces the Microsoft report button in the ribbon.
Note: Due to this version replacing the Microsoft report button in the ribbon it will show on Classic version of outlook but functionality is not supported.

- How to report an email via OWA or Web Version of Outlook
- How to report an email via Outlook Desktop application
- How to report an email via Outlook mobile device (Android or iOS)
How to report an email via OWA or Web Version of Outlook:
- Access Outlook from any browser.
- Find the Phish Reporter ribbon at the top of your screen or under Apps when highlighting the email to report. To report, you can either highlight the email in the preview pane or double click to open it as a new window.
- Below pop-up message will appear, click Report.
- Once reported, notification like below will appear. The custom message depends on the reported email (e.g. Phriendly Phishing Training Email, Phriendly Phishing Simulation Email, Suspicious Email)
- Click Ok. The reported email is then moved to your Deleted folder.
- If reporting an email for the first time using this version, you will be asked to log in with your Microsoft credentials .
How to report an email via Outlook Desktop application (new Outlook version):
- Find the Phish Reporter ribbon at the top of your screen or under Apps when highlighting the email to report.
- To report an email, either highlight the email in the preview pane or double click to open it as a new window. Click on the Phish Reporter ribbon and Report.
- Once reported, notification like below will appear. The custom message depends on the reported email (e.g. Phriendly Phishing Training Email, Phriendly Phishing Simulation Email, Suspicious Email)
- Click Ok. The reported email is then moved to your Deleted folder.
- If reporting an email for the first time using this version, you will be asked to log into with your Microsoft credentials .
How to report an email via Outlook mobile device (Android or iOS):
iOS Devices
- Click on the email
- Click on the 3 dots, upper right side of your screen. A window will appear, scroll down to find the Phish Reporter icon.
- Click Report.
Android Devices
- Click on the email
- Click on the 3 dots, upper right side of your screen. A window will appear, scroll down to find the Phish Reporter icon.
- Click Report.
Congratulations - You have now successfully reported an email! Repeat this process for any other suspicious-looking emails. Thanks!
