Overview
Deckhand Explorer is the first release of Deckhand, our AI-powered assistant built into the Phriendly Phishing admin platform. It helps you analyse results, understand learner behaviour and answer complex data questions faster, so you can make more informed decisions.
Instead of manually combining multiple reports, you can ask Deckhand Explorer questions in natural language and receive insights based on the data in your own account.
Deckhand Explorer only works with data inside your Phriendly Phishing tenant and can provide details across several key areas outlined below.

Limitations and best practices
Deckhand Explorer focuses on phishing and training data available in your Phriendly Phishing reporting. It cannot answer questions about systems or data outside the platform. Treat Deckhand Explorer’s answers as an aid, not a replacement, for your existing reports. For formal reporting, always confirm key figures in the relevant dashboard.
For the best results, ask clear, focused questions that include a time frame and, where relevant, a specific campaign or course.
FAQs
| Question | Answer |
| How does Deckhand differ from traditional reporting? | Deckhand Explorer sits on top of your existing reports and dashboards. Instead of manually applying filters and exporting data, you can ask a question in natural language and Deckhand Explorer will surface relevant figures and insights from across your phishing and training reporting. It is designed to complement, not replace, the standard reports you already use. |
| How accurate are the AI‑generated recommendations | Deckhand Explorer has gone through several stages of testing to provide useful and accurate insights based on your data. However, it is currently in BETA, so we recommend treating its answers as a helpful starting point. For important decisions or formal reporting, you should verify key numbers against your existing reports and dashboards. |
| How often is Deckhand updated or improved | Deckhand Explorer has just been released and is currently in BETA. We are actively monitoring how it is used and will continue to refine its coverage, performance and accuracy over time. Improvements will be rolled out as they are tested and validated. |
| What data does the Deckhand have access to? | Deckhand Explorer can only access data within your own Phriendly Phishing account. It uses the same phishing, training and learner information that already powers your dashboards and reports, and its answers are limited to the zone and tenant you are currently viewing. |
| Does the AI Agent store or share any personal information? | Deckhand Explorer does not independently store new copies of your data or share it with external services. It reads the information that already exists in your account to generate answers. No data is shared externally, and all data handling remains fully aligned with our existing on‑shore storage, security controls and governance practices. |
| How long will deckhand be in BETA? | We have not set a specific date for Deckhand Explorer moving out of BETA. We will continue to evaluate performance, usage and customer feedback, and we will update its status as the product matures. |
| Do I need to pay extra to use Deckhand? | There is no separate add‑on fee specifically for Deckhand Explorer. However, access is currently limited to customers on the premium package. If you are unsure whether your organisation is entitled to use Deckhand Explorer, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Phriendly Phishing Support. |
| Can I save or export Deckhand Explorer conversations? | Right now, there is no built‑in option to save or export Deckhand Explorer conversations. If you want to keep an answer, you can copy and paste the response into your own documents, emails or reports. We may add additional save or export options in future releases. |
| Is Deckhand Explorer the only Deckhand feature? | Deckhand Explorer is the first Deckhand experience, focused on answering complex data questions using AI. Over time, we plan to expand Deckhand with additional AI‑powered capabilities, which will be documented separately as they are released. |
| Can Deckhand Explorer make changes to campaigns or learners? | No. Deckhand Explorer is read‑only. It does not change campaigns, training enrolments or learner settings, and it does not send any emails or notifications. It is designed purely to help you interpret your existing data more easily. |
