When a Learner is scheduled to receive an email from Phriendly Phishing, it is important to understand that the User Experience is different depending on the type of email they receive.
Our emails are categorised into Baseline, Training, Campaign or Spear Phishing emails.
Baseline
- The automated phishing Baseline is sent to Learners at a random time and date during the duration of the Baseline.
- Baseline emails are amongst our most sophisticated phishing emails.
- Utilises learner anonymization to ensure a respectful first experience for employees.
- Links redirect to the Google search page, Learners receive no notification of Phriendly Phishing.
Training
- Training is administered via a unique link that is sent via email. There is no login required, unless you have enabled Learners Hub for your zone.
- The training email is received in the learners' mail inbox on the first day of the scheduled training block. Learner is required to click on the 'Start Your Course' link to commence the training.
- The Learner can leave the training at any point by closing the browser page, and re-commence at the same point when would like to start again.
- When the learner has successfully Passed the training, they have an option to download or email the certificate of completion.

Campaign
- The automated phishing Campaign email is sent at a random time and date, each month, to the learners' inbox.
- If the learner clicks on a link or attachment they are directed to a Microlesson page. The lessons outline tips on how to identify and report a phishing email.
- Microlessons can be customised.
- Email sophistication level is automatically matched to users skill level
Spear phishing
- A learner will receive a targeted spear phishing email template in their mail inbox according to the assigned schedule.
- If a learner clicks on the link, they will be directed to a microlesson page. The lessons outline tips on how to identify and report a phishing email.
- Admins can optionally redirect learner clicks to a custom landing page
