Set up Smart Groups

Smart Groups are dynamic groups of users based on attributes pulled from your AD/AzureAD/Okta integrations that automatically update with your active directory.

These groups can be used to dynamically and automatically assign learning paths (Baseline, Trainings, Campaigns) and to target phishing templates only to Smart Group members.Visit our Smart Groups Use Cases page to learn more.

 Requirement

Your Active Directory will need to be integrated with your Phriendly Phishing account. If you have not yet set up Active Directory sync visit Setup Active Directory User Syncronisation.

Once your Active Directory has been synced to your Phriendly Phishing platform, you will need to synchronise the following attributes:

  • First Name, Last Name, and Email Address
  • + 1 additional attribute from your active directory such as department, location, manager, role, etc

How to Set up a Smart Group

  1. Log into your Phriendly Phishing dashboard, navigate to the Smart Groups tab, then select New Smart Group.
Note: You will find a default Smart Group already set up that includes all learners in the platform.
